Founded in 2002, ASSAR Senari Group is a Malaysian Government-link company entrusted by the Sarawak State Government as a unique developer and integrator of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Oleo-Chemicals businesses, both domestically and internationally.
ASSAR Senari Group is an integrated oil, gas and chemicals corporation, envisioned to develop and operate unique related industries domestically and internationally.
Through Strategic partnership with PETRONAS, SHELL and Cargill International, ASSAR Senari Group has successfully developed and operate the ASSAR Senari Inductrial Complex (ASIC), its flagship project located in Kuching, Sarawak.
ASIC is sited on a 174-acre land and this RM350 million (USD 100 million) fast track integrated project comprises of an Independent Oil Terminal, Palm oil Refinery Complex and OGC Deepwater Port and took only three and half years to complete.
At ASIC, there is also a Light Industrial Park for Petrochemicals, Oleochemicals and related industries (LIPPOR), which is due for completion by 2010. With the success of this integrated development, its replica is presently being developed in three more regions in Sarawak and beyond.
Through one of its subsidiaries, Assar Chemicals Trading, ASSAR Senari Group also trade in Petroleum and Palm products domestically and internationally.
Overall, ASSAR Senari Group have grown to achieve a turnover of RM2.2 billion in 2007 from only RM8 million in 2003.
