Located within the ASSAR Senari Industrial Complex (ASIC) in Senari and adjacent to the IOT, the ASSAR Palm Oil Refinery complex caters for the growing needs of palm oil millers and thousands of planters from across southern Sarawak and nearby Kalimantan hinterland.

Built on a 14-acre site, the integrated palm oil refinery comprises of the following:
- 1000 MTPD Refinery and Fractionation Plants
- 200 MTPD Kernel Crushing Plant
- Bulking Installations
- Tank Truck loading bays
- Dedicated export pipelines to the ASSAR Senari Oil & Gas and Chemicals Port
- Dedicated import pipelines for Crude Palm Oil to the ASSAR Senari Oil & Gas and Chemicals Port
Owned and operated by ASSAR Refinery Services Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between ASSAR Senari Group, Cargill International Pte Ltd and Sarawak Land Consolidation & Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA), this integrated facility caters mainly for export to international destinations and also for domestic consumption for the next 30 years.
The palm oil refinery complex operates on an initial annual capacity of 360,000 tonnes and will be modularly upgraded to one million tonne annually over the next 30 years.

The Palm Oil refinery also provides additional savings on transportation cost of nearly RM 20 million a year for more than 18,000 smallholders, commercial planters and millers in Southern Sarawak. This saving is derived from comparison with the practice of sending crude palm oil and palm kernel to similar facilities of nearly 700 kilometers away in Bintulu.
The facility supplies Palm Oil-based raw materials to the nearby cooking oil blending/packaging plant and the soon to be completed Bio-diesel plant, both located within ASIC at the nearby Light Industrial Park for Petrochemicals, Oleo-chemicals and Related Industry (LIPPOR). |
