ASSAR Chemicals Trading Sdn. Bhd.

Assar Chemicals Trading Sdn Bhd is the marketing and trading arm of ASSAR Senari Group, a Sarawak Government-Link Company involved in the Oil, Gas and Oleo-Chemicals industry. Incorporated in 27 August 2002, Assar Chemicals Trading Sdn Bhd (ATCSB) commenced its operation on October 2002 and is principally involved in marketing and trading of various Oil, Gas and Oleo-Chemical products for local and international market.

Oil and Gas Products

The company started its Oil & Gas business with the operation of a Central Oil Distribution Terminal (CODT) to supply the deep sea fishing boat and general cargo vessels in Tanjung Manis, Mukah, Sarawak.

Today the company is supplying petroleum product requirement of ASSAR Senari Group and its business associates. It is also managing the fuel requirement of Sarawak state power supplier, Sarawak Energy (formerly known as Sarawak Electricity Supply Corporation) (SESCO).

As part of its expansion plan, ACTSB is actively pursuing to penetrate the Sabah market by a tie-up with the Sabah-based Suria Group. By setting a foothold in neighbouring Sabah, ACTSB and ASG is poised to be a premier player in the Oil & Gas and Oleo-chemical industry in East Malaysia .

Oleo Chemicals Products

The business of Oleo-chemical has come a long way from its first transactions of export of Crude Palm Oil with United State-based giant, Cargill Corporation.

Today ACTSB is involved in trading the full range of palm oil and its product derivatives, both domestic and international market, moving in tandem with Assar Refinery Services Sdn Bhd ( a subsidiary of ASG), and the Palm Oil industry in general.

ACTSB will move forward together with ASG to exploit opportunities in ASG's signature ASSAR Senari Industrial Complex (ASIC) projects.

PetroChemicals Product

ACTSB Petrochemical business started when it market coconut shell charcoal in collaboration with coconut small holders in Samarahan, Kuching, Sarawak, to activated carbon manufacturers and also supplying ball clay to local and export requirement.

Today ACTSB is supplying bleaching earth and phosphoric acid to Assar Refinery Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of ASG.

ACTSB is currently exploring the possibilities of supplying fertilizers to oil palm plantations, especially to the millers where the Group sourced its Crude Palm Oil.

The supply of methanol requirement of ASG-Global Bonanza owned bio-diesel plant located at Light Industrial Petrochemicals and Oleo chemicals Industrial Park or LIPPOR in Assar Senari Industrial Complex, is another business opportunity.
