Assar Senari Industrial Complex (ASIC) 1

Through strategic partnerships with PETRONAS, Shell and Cargill International, the ASSAR Senari Group has successfully developed the ASSAR Senari Industrial Complex (ASIC) in Kuching, Sarawak.  With the success of this unique integrated development, its replica is presently being developed in 3 more regions in Sarawak and beyond.  On 4th December 2006, ASIC was officially declared opened in a grand ceremony attended by guest-of-honour, YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, the Chief Minister of Sarawak. 

The Assar Senari Industrial Complex is sited on a 174-acre land adjacent to the Senari Deepsea Port, which has deepwater draft capable of accommodating large tanker vessels.

The Complex comprises an Independent Oil Terminal, Port Facilities, Pal Oil Refinery and a Free Industrial Zone known as Light Industrial Petrochemicals and Oleo chemicals Industrial Park or LIPPOR.

This RM350 million fast track integrated project took nearly three and a half years to complete.  It is in line with the State’s Industrial development master plan and in tandem with the government’s vision for the development and promotion of value added industries in oil and gas and palm oil sectors in Sarawak.
